HBC’s core expertise is in creating practice group and industry group focused PR-fueled business development campaigns that turn partners' expertise into new business opportunities. We do this by:
- Maintaining strong relationships with national trade and business media;
- Arranging interview opportunities for commentary on breaking news stories (recent placements include The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Financial Times, BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, Reuters, Bloomberg, Corporate Board Member, CNBC and many more);
- Securing byline opportunities for professionals in key industry trade and business publications (in a range of industries including human resources, employee benefits and energy, among others);
- Crafting compelling submissions for highly regarded awards and rankings (recent successes include: The American Lawyer’s “Dealmaker of the Year,” “45 under 45,” and “Litigation Department of the Year”; The National Law Journal’s “40 Under 40”; Crain’s NY Business’ “40 Under 40”; The Washingtonian’s “Best Lawyers”; The Legal Times "Leading Lawyers"; Jungle’s “Top Minority Firms”; and Private Equity Analyst’s “Top Law Firms,” as well as managing and writing numerous Chambers submissions for ranked attorneys);
- Obtaining marquee speaking engagements for our clients at key industry events (recent engagements include: Forbes’ Global CEO Summit; Forbes’ Corporate Security and IT Forum; Forbes’ CFO Forum; InformationWeek Conference; The Conference Board’s Electric Utilities Environmental Conference; Center for Business Intelligence Executive Summit on Insurance Compliance; Licensing Executives Society Conference; numerous local and national SHRM events; and many others);
- Developing branded content like blogs, custom publishing, roundtables and sponsored events; and
- Managing communications efforts during litigation and crisis situations.
Finally and perhaps most importantly, we work within the wider context of our clients' marketing and business development objectives – whether this means securing reprints, providing social media training or launching a blog - to ensure that the content we create helps bring in business.
